But why?

Hey everyone, I was on Barksdale AFB earlier today and drove by this beauty. I hope that who ever is the arborist on base is planning on removing it fully as I don't see a great future for this large mature live oak.

The base is full of beautiful large old live oaks and this was one of them between two buildings.

There was still a lift on site so maybe they came to a stopping point. I'll give the benefit of the doubt and the next time I'm on base I'll show and update.

Disclaimer; I am a certified Arborist in Louisiana and this one stuck out for me to turn around and take a closer look.
