There is someone I met back in AIT for the 68c MOS. He was not doing well in the course and he ended up failing. It was rumored he was going to go to Whiskey Land and he had a breakdown. We have not seen him since then and everyone who was in his class moved on to phrase II in different states.

One day, I saw a post he made on Social Media with his retirement card and discharge certificate. "Having served faithfully and honorably was retired from the United States Army".

I am thinking to myself there is no way. He was only in for 1 year and we all signed a 6 year contract, yet he is already out with an honorable?

I want to know if this is a truly a legitimate, honorable discharge after 1 year of "service".
