I feel like screwed (Update)

After writing a letter to my congressman and receiving no response yet, I came into drill today and was informed that I’m being discharged for failing to attend AIT within one year of basic training and not becoming MOS-qualified within two years.

At this point, I don’t think there’s anything I can do to stop it. If I get discharged, my plan is to re-enlist as soon as possible and keep pushing forward, but honestly, this entire experience has been miserable. I’ve spent two years in the military, and all I’ve accomplished is basic training—despite doing everything I could to get a ship date.

I’m still trying to figure out my next steps, but if anyone has advice or insight, I’d appreciate it.
