Concert tickets

I would love to see an act at Massey Hall. Are the only options for nabbing tickets through TicketMaster? I cannot believe the prices. Do the artists/promoters get an appropriate portion of the ticket price ? What percentage does TM get? How is this even legal. Mods, please don't refer me to torantto. This is a genuine question.
