Why is the animation in Caped Crusader so dull?
Aside from the kitchen fight, nothing really dazzled. The style is fine, but the whole show looks boring.
Went back and looked at Brave and The bold and the DCAU and they looked more "lively" than this. I get that it's a slower pace so there isn't as much action, but comparing someone standing in this to someone standing in Mask of the Phantasm, Caped Crusader looks so lifeless.
Even their inspiration: Fleischer Superman, looks more fluent and energetic.
Was it a budget thing or a choice to make it look boring?
