High heart rate

Has anyone struggled with extremely high heart rate when they started running. I walk 15 miles a day, am fairly active, have a history of distance back packing, and power lifting. But in the last couple years I haven't trained at all. Just started running and I'm dying. Doing 1 minute run 1 minute walk repeated for roughly half an hour. But my hear will reach 185-194 on occasion. I'm 33, 196 pounds (and dropping) and have a naturally faster heart rate (even at my most fit) but I feel like 195 is a rough one to hit considering my pace and actual time I am rubbing from.

Please tell me this will improve slowly and it's just my body going into shock or a new intense workout.
