Can teething cause runny nose? Any remedies?

Hi!

My 8-month-old baby boy seems to be teething a lot. He’s drooling excessively and chewing on his toys all day. Recently, he developed a very runny nose. Since I live in Toronto and it’s peak winter right now, I’m wondering if the runny nose could be due to a cold, or if teething can also cause it?

We gave him Camilia teething drops in the evening and Tylenol before bed. Any advice on how to help with his runny nose? It’s causing him to have terrible sleep and wake up more frequently during the night.
