Hobbies outside of work

I wouldn’t say I’m a gun nut, but I do like to go hunting. I want to find folks at the firm who also like to hunt. My issue is I don’t want to seem like a stereotypical southern guy. I am a minority so there’s some protection if you wanna call it that. I can’t get a feel of the folks I’m working with right now. As in whether they would judge me negatively for wanting to hunt or if they would be down to go hunting with me.

For context- I was in nyc before, now in Chicago. In New York, it was hard finding folks at my firm that went hunting. However, when I would casually bring it up, occasionally people would find it off putting. I don’t want to make the same mistake again. And I definitely do not want to be called a hill billy or red neck or even worse a trumper (no offense if you voted for the Don, I just do not want to be associated with him or his party)..
