The N word being said in public spaces.

I am currently visiting Toronto for the first time on a solo 30th birthday trip. Yesterday on public transit, two men started arguing. I wasn't sure what the argument was about because it happened so suddenly, and we were all packed in like sardines on the bus. One of the men called the other the N word twice with a hard R. He told the man to go back to his country, as "This is Canada".

Toronto is diverse, so I was appalled that someone was bold enough to be super loud and confident with using racial slurs. Not one person checked the racist man. I wanted to say something, but I noticed the man had a bag with him. People are crazy, and there was no telling if he possibly had a weapon on his person.

I'm from the states were racism is rampant. This incident was unfortunate. Racism is truly everywhere. For the most part though, people have been friendly.
