Why are Matchmaking times so damn long??

For the life of me I can’t understand why Matchmaking takes so damn long in this game. Typically I have the filter set to Domination, Kill Confirmed and 10v10.

I’m not exaggerating when I say it takes anywhere from 30 seconds to 3 minutes to find and start a match. Typically it’s the latter. On top of this I find myself playing on a ping greater than 30 quite often.

This issue only seems to get worse whenever I have a good match and then restart the matchmaking process. I know this is caused by the EngagementOMM/SkillBMM trying to match me with players in my skill level.

For a game that had record sales and record player numbers this is unacceptable. It’s 2024 and this series has been around for over 20 years and yet we are only going backwards in regard to Matchmaking.

For those curious I am Located in SW Ohio, about an hour from the Columbus server. According to my router data I only connect to the Columbus server roughly 2 out of 10 games. This is also unacceptable.

I don’t for one second believe that this game prioritizes “Ping is King”
