Cannot even Press X to Start

Sometimes it connects to Online Services. Sometimes nothing happens. You know what happens every time though? NOTHING. Pressing X does nothing. Did not work yesterday, still does not work today. I've rebuilt the database. I've restarted my system. I've used different controllers. Nothing.
Sure would like to play this beta, but as far as I can tell, I won't be able to play this thing until launch if it continues to act this way.
