How long will high bp kill me?
I’ve been a long time sufferer of high bp ranging from 160/110 to as high as 230/130. My average is 170/111. Since 2018 to 2024. I googled that having my high numbers my life expectancy is 8 months to a year.
I have beaten this before and got down to 117/70 bp by getting to 150lbs from 190lbs with keto, intermittent fasting and exercise. But now I’m older I’m doing the same routine and my weight isn’t coming down fast enough. Reason why I’m on also on Ozempic for 2 months now. I’m pre-diabetic, sleep apnea currently on cpap. I’ve quit vaping 5% salt nic, cut down on sodium dramatically and still has yet to improve my bp. I’ve tried over 20 blood pressure med combinations to no avail or very little effect maybe 5-10 points off my average bp. Just to add I don’t do recreational drugs, I don’t do peds, steroids. I rarely drink alcohol beverages maybe two times a year.
Check for tumors in adrenal glands, check renin and Aldo. Calcium score, echocardiogram, renal aorta test, cortisol suppression and ct aniogram with contrast. All came out normal.
I’m afraid for my life right now and I’m extremely desperate. Ozempic is my last hope to lose weight and so far nothing. I’ve still get to lose weight with it. I’m hovering between 179-182lbs. My weight goal is 148-155lbs.
I’m male and 40 years old.
