Are Netflix players going to continue to miss out in the future?

I eagerly updated my Btd6 just now only to log in and find that I missed out on the entire collection event that had been happening the last couple weeks while we didn't have the update. Seeing this made me very sad since I really enjoy those events and the other trophy related events I missed out on as well. I understand it takes longer for Netflix players to get the update, but it didn't take nearly this long last time and I am worried about if this will continue in the future with new updates. I want to quit the game now if that is the case, but I really am enjoying the game, so I don't want to put it down if this was just an abnormal occurrence. I know I am not alone in my beliefs, and I just want to know if there will be any compensation or events in the future to make up for the ones that the Netflix version players missed out on? I have done some looking for any sign or clue in response to these questions and can't find any answers, so I am asking here.
