Moving away from .Net programming/development

I have been doing .Net development for 5-6 years now and I have been trying to move away for a while now.

I want to be more creative - more web development with WordPress as well as writing and digital marketing - maybe throw in music too.

I am learning more about WordPress in my spare time, I write once a week and I recently obtained the Google Garage Digital Marketing certificate. I am also doing WP sites for people too.

I was wondering if anyone has made a similar transition?

Are there any web creatives/marketers out there that can give some advice?
