Their best live tracks?

Massive CT fan here, dunno if this question hasn't been repeated to death here but let's give it a go :-)

What do you think were their best songs live?

Curiously, I think a lot of their classic songs are not the answer - imo they either didn't quite recreate that studio magic, or they barely played some live at all...

Some of my candidates:

  1. Orange Appled - easy choice for me. The EP studio version is a fan fave but I've personally never been THAT big a fan, sounded a bit too christmasy/overcooked to me... but then I heard the live versions from 1990-1 and I fell in love. The song sounded HUGE live, Liz' vocal was on fire.... perfection.
  2. Iceblink Luck - out of their hit songs imo the one that sounded best live. Great guitars, great buildup, Liz did a wonderful job with her vocal in the chorus - didn't even need that 2nd backing vocal!
  3. Aloysius (or the whole Pitch the Baby/Wax and Wane/Aloysius sequence) - this goes to the experimental/deconstructed Seefeel version from M&K tour and I absolutely love it. Again, never even been a huge fan of the Treasure original but this totally slaps and sounds fresh even in 2024.
  4. Pink Orange Red - nuff said, sounded great on their many tours.
  5. Ella Megalast Burls Forever - again the Milk & Kisses tour version, they went BIG with this gem here! The guitar bridge is marvellous, Liz does a phenomenal vocal improv bit in the 2nd chorus and tho this time I WOULD appreciate a backing vocal in the grand finale, it really feels like they brought this wonderful song close to its full potential.

*Bonus question - which of their classics did NOT sound that great live? (For me personally, Aikea-Guinea left something to desire)
