Finally getting around to playing
I've heard the hype train for years. Every time I started playing, the "headbutt it until you get it right" and "get good" was not appealing to me. Now, after 14 years, I've finally decided that I'll be beating this and every other "souls" game I can think of.
So far I have: DS1-3, Elden Ring, Lies of P, Star Wars Jedi Survivor(I beat the first), Sekiro, Bloodborne,
What tips are there for someone to "get good" at this type of game? I played a bit of Elden Ring on a strength build, and got to Royal Knight Loretta. After about 60 tries in a row of brute forcing her, I beat her, but completely burnt myself out of the game. I want to make sure I don't screw myself again like that for this journey with bad habits or doing 50+ tries on a boss, especially when I hear the average person reports around 10 tries or less for most bosses in the game.
