I need help from you gurus
I have three Debian machines, 2 pi’s and a desktop, on my network. I’ve added a “test pi” for troubleshooting my situation. It’s a fresh install of Raspberry Pi OS, bookworm.
The Debian machine not located on the same switch as my router cannot resolve names.
I know at this point, you’re probably thinking it’s an easy situation. I hope it is, but what it isn’t is a network hardware issue.
In this screenshot I present to you, the ping results of my Debian machine and my MacBook. Both using a wired connection from the same switch. Both obtaining an IP address via DHCP.
It’s driving me nuts.
One more note. The machine can ping other machines via IP address, so this is just name resolution.
Thanks in advance!
