Eagle problem. Advice welcomed.

Well, I've lost two ducks in the last two weeks during the day. A bug eagle has been around and my flock has been the target.

I've had ducks for six months and have had zero predator issues until now. They've had a secure fenced quarter acre to roam and graze in but now are confined to their house when nobody is home.

A dog isn't an option for protection but I am wondering if anybody has experience with geese or turkeys as flock defenders. I really want the ducks to have a free range life but not at the expense of it being a short one.

I am likely going to have to shrink their space and give them a covered run to be in when nobody is around and let them free range under supervision only... Unless someone can convince me an evil goose will reduce my losses to near zero.

Any other ideas for flock protection are appreciated.
