Going Offline & Dumping the Smartphone

Dear Dumb Phones Community,

I have been lately wondering why I cannot finish reading a book in peace or why I stopped writing 6 years ago... all of this can be answered with simply phone word: smartphones.

I am so attached to my iPhone and to the WhatsApp work related messages and the constant receiving of emails and so on and so on.

I want this to stop, it is controlling me more than I have control over it. I do not want to feel this way or be possessed by my phone.

I have recently decided to stop cut off over 70% of technology from my life, this includes my PS5 and my iPhone. As for work, I do it on the computer and there is no other way.

However, it is time to cut off the phone, but how? What should I do? How can I decide and go for it?

One ironic thing is that I have noticed many of you which claim to use dumb phones for daily use actually use real smartphones to take pictures of their dumb phones. So, for me it seems like the dumb phone for many of you is just a style.

And the second ironic thing is that I sincerely fear that I would end up replacing my phone and be spending even more time on the laptop.
