birth control for pain management

Hi friends. I wanted to reach out on here to see if anyone else has experienced what I’ve been going through. I haven’t been officially diagnosed with endo as of yet, but it’s highly suspected as I have all the symptoms and my ultrasounds were normal.

I saw my GYN in October and she put me on microgestin 1/20 FE to help manage my heavy periods and help my pain. Since starting my periods have been extremely light which has been so nice. My pain the first month was more mild, but I still had the sharp stabbing pain during my ovulation week. I’ve been taking the BC steadily for 3 months at this point, and I feel like some of my pain has decreased, but it just feels muted or muffled? The best way for me to describe it would be that I’m still very aware of the pain, but it’s just a little diminished. Has anyone else been prescribed birth control to help your symptoms and feel the same? How long did it take for your pain to completely diminish or go away? I’m just getting so tired and frustrated with how I’m in some sort of pain or discomfort every single week.
