P2 Scale no longer automatically updating Apple Health

Been loving my P2 scale, and it’s been working great! One problem I’m experiencing recently is that I have to open the EufyLife app before my measurements will sync to Apple Health. As soon as I open the app, any pending data instantly syncs and all is well. I swear that wasn’t necessary before and it used to update Apple Health automatically without needing to open the app. Anyone experiencing this too? Or am I misremembering how it used to work?
