have you notice a tendency of weebs not liking eva?

Personally i dont like Anime apart from things like dragon ball. but i highly admire eva, probably because eva doesnt like anime very much aswell lol

but from the people i know THAT do watch anime regularly, most of the dont like Eva or dont want to watch it. Some of them have one piece tattoos but cant stand eva

why is that?
