Mormon lgbtq support only goes so far

My mom knows I'm bisexual and treats me like she's okay with it, but her ward has a gay elder who's "choosing to live straight". She said he was "so brave to be a square peg in a round hole on his mission" and "It's just so brave of him to talk about all his 'issues' with the lgbt community"

Thought she was supportive, but now choosing to live inauthentically is... brave?

Now being gay is an issue...?!

And now my grandma is getting baptized at 75 and she wants me to go to the baptism on Saturday. Where everyone knows me as THE EVIL FAILED GAY CHILD lmfaoo
