I don't enjoy starting new bases
I do not enjoy the process of starting new bases.
I picked up Space Age a few months ago and really enjoy the game. Currently my engineer is stood on Gleba with the start tree farming done.
However, instead of working on getting Gleba up and running, I am currently rebuilding my entire Nauvis base to move from a bot based system to a train infrastructure. I know that I should wait until after getting Gleba up and running because there will be a number of changes that I will want to implement with the new technologies... and yet I am much more interested in the mid to late base setup rather than the early base setup.
I have also moved (almost) all science production to Vulcanus, taken out big demolishers on Vulcanus, used artillery to secure huge swaths of territory on Nauvis, rebuilt my science and cargo landing pad locations on Nauvis and a bunch of other large and small projects on the other planets instead of focusing on actually learning how to get Gleba started.
This isn't a frustration with Gleba or anything of the sort, but rather just not being interested in the process of setting up a new base. This is my first playthrough(after going through most of the tutorials) and even though I have learned so much about the game and would absolutely do things differently if I were to start a new game, the process of starting a new base on Nauvis is repulsive enough that I will instead rebuild everything rather than restart.
This was the same for me with the start of each planet, where I landed on the planet and then pretty immediately discovered that the other planets were much more interesting compared to the new base I was starting. Is this a me thing or are there others out there that feel the same?
