Gotta give illumicrate the credit where it’s due (This year picks)

So, Autumn just posted the April-July picks, and I had to say this. I have complained about the past two years picks (each year seemed to concentrate on one theme/genre kinda). But this year seems to have a completely different theme/genre/trope for each month. Yes I’m not interested in most of the picks from January to July, but at least each month offers a completely different book.

I think this list will explain things (what I mean by diverse book picks) better:

Jan: Ghibli vibes

Feb: Pirates

March: >! Royalty/Politics/Magic/Queer !<

April: >! Magic/Mystery !<

May: >! Epic/Spirits !<

June: >! Gothic/Fantasy/Lesbian !<

July: >! Romantasy/Enemies-to-Lovers/Idiots? !<

Honestly, I’m already happy with this year, it seems promising. I hope they keep up with this.

On a final note: I’m still contemplating march, does anyone have thoughts about this one 🤔
