Jordan Poole

Last NBA season JP performed terribly, expectations were high for him after getting traded to the wizards so a lot of people reached for him in drafts. These people who reached for him in drafts were disappointed as JP never reached those expectations and was a disappointment throughout most of the season until around the end of the season when Tyus Jones didn’t play.

Fast forward to the current NBA season, and that reputation still follows him. Most people would say he’s inconsistent, unreliable and the previous season caused most league managers to avoid him so he fell in a lot of drafts. He is currently outperforming his ADP and putting up good numbers yet people act like he has the cheese touch? I honestly don’t think I’ve seen any good comments about JP and even now that he’s performing well most people are doubtful that he can maintain this level of production. IMO, based on last year’s performance it is fair to be doubtful though it just seems like no one believes in him at all. “He’s a sell high” or “His production will drop soon” is all I ever see his name tied up with, with his skill set and the opportunity in the wizards I believe he can keep this up. Has anyone thought that maybe last year was his absolute worst year and that the production he provides now is actually what he can do? This man is an NBA champion, and he was a big part of that warriors run.

I mean we’ve seen him play, everybody knows the man can hoop. I understand being cautious and learning from last year’s mistakes but it doesn’t hurt to keep an open mind. He has a much better shot selection, doesn’t dribble through the whole shot clock and just seems like a more mature hooper this year. Recency bias is a problem and I miss seeing Jordan Poole edits everywhere. If he hurt you last year I pray that you can heal and move on, it’s better to let go. Spread love, not hate. 🩷
