Loan discharge/Forgiveness Question and Pell Grant Question
Several years ago I attended Marinellos School of Beauty. They were unorganized, I didn't learn from much of the teachers as they were super young themselves so I'm not surprised they went down the way they did. I thought it was fishy that I was called into financial aid 3 times to sign the same document because they kept "misplacing" it.
Sorry, just a little rant....
I have a question in regards to the loan discharge and forgiveness. I revieved my money back 2 years ago but I have since gone back to school for communications and plan to pursue my bachelor's. I was peeping student aid.gov and noticed that I still have a couple of Pell grants that were paid to Marinello and my lifetime max is almost up. It makes me nervous because I want to move on in my education. That's over 10 grand in Marinellos name. Do we/ Are we able to recieve that money back into our federal lifetime fund? It only makes sense to recieve that money back as well. Especially for those who went back to further their education. I had a text chat with customer service and they said we wouldn't get that money back because it's not money we had paid into. I did a little research and some texts say we are eligible to get that Pell grant back for education. I'm asking if anyone has dealt with this or know if it can be refunded back into our accounts or not? Anyone with this experience? Thank you so much for reading!
