My marigold plant has many buds but wont flower?

I got marigold plant from a nursery couple months back! It hasld one bloomed flower and many new buds... that one flower lasted way too long compared to my other marigold pot plant. Now this one has buds, plenty, and new are coming tooo, but they won't flower?? Any helpp is appreciated 😭😭
