Should i jump to an extreme?

I recently beat Necropolis and it's my 4th unsane demon (the rest are Acropolis, Supersonic and Windy Landscape). I was thinking on beating Magma Bound and the two first Plasma Pulse but i don't know if i should do the progression to an extreme first or if it's better to consolidate my habilities in insane demons before going to cata. Any advice?
