Crate Training
Hi guys,
I recently adopted a 8 week old puppy and currently in the process of crate training him. I've read conflicting information regarding letting him "whine it out". At what point should I stop letting him cry it out in order to avoid having a negative perception towards the crate? Also, if I go to him will that associate him whining with getting my attention if I stop letting him cry?
Also, he has a pen where his crate is located in & will whine for several minutes if he doesn't have our attention. How can we correct this behavior because letting him cry it out seems to not work. We have also been rewarding the moment of quiet time with praises and treats, but it seems like it is not working.
Any advice is appreciated as I am going crazy lmao.
