Finally Accepted! Masters program in New Zealand 🙌

I've spent the last 8 months struggling with grad applications. Wherever I applied I got bluntly rejected. Not just in the US but in other countries as well.

Despite having a decent GPA and a heavy load of ML research experience ( in one of the EU's top research labs) with IEEE research papers. I was still rejected from any and every place I've applied to by far.

The pressure and stress levels were so high that, as a result, I began to develop mouth ulcers.

This all changed 10 days ago when I received an email stating I was accepted at the University of Waikato for their Master in Information Technology program (ML Track).

The relief I felt after seeing this email is a feeling I'll never forget. Additionally, I was also offered a scholarship for my position and was told to complete an internship of 400 hours with the Waikato administration, helping to secure an intern position on or off campus.

University of Waikato in Hamilton QS ranks around 235 in the world and, at this point, is a very good place to start my grad school. New Zealand seems to be a good place to start my grad school journey.

All thanks to members of this community and their support.

My research experience and publications did help out in the end. From what I've realized in this entire process is that:

1) one may have a lot of good parts in their application, but at the end of the, it's all about presentation and showcasing that you are the right fit for their program.

That's all I can say for now. Just glad I am starting my program this spring. Thank you ✌️
