Any graduates from NSCAD's BDES, interdisciplinary DESIGN Program willing to share their experience?

Hi!

I'm looking to apply to NSCAD's interdisciplinary DESIGN Program next fall. I've already both had a call & met with someone at the registrar's office in-person and I've been doing a LOT or research into degrees.

Are there any previous NSCAD students that could tell me about their experience in this program (or NSCAD in general) and their success/struggles with finding a career after graduating?

From what I've seen, I'd really enjoy the program and the courses available, but it feels very difficult to get even a "no experience" or retail job these days. It seems like pursuing a degree doesn't inherently guarantee a job anymore, so I feel like I might as well pursue something that I like. I've consulted with Opportunity Place for guidance, looked on Nova Scotia Works, looked on both provincial and federal websites. It feels like no amount of research I do or notes I take guarantees me any kind of certainty in terms of careers.

I'm trying to both make a realistic & informed decision while also perusing something I actually enjoy, at least to some extent. I've looked into Data Analytics & Management degrees, but I don't know how much I'll like it. It feels like I'd be signing myself for 4 years of regrets (and then some).

I'm planning to go to the "Portfolio Day" event as I was told previous students/alumni might be there to talk about their experience, but I thought it might be nice to hear from students that aren't inherently associated with the university anymore.

If anyone has advice for this field or for a degree in general (or about the job market, etc.) it would be highly appreciated. Thank you :)!

Edit: I should also mentioned that part of the reason I'd like to go to NSCAD is the get to know people in the art scene & who have common interests. I haven't lived in Halifax/Nova Scotia for very long so it would be a good way for me to get to know people and make some friends :)
