Switching to ARV injectables
I've been HIV-positive for nearly 5 years and have been taking antiretroviral (ARV) medications since my diagnosis. My viral load has been undetectable from the beginning. However, I find taking daily medication inconvenient, especially when traveling or trying to maintain privacy. I'm considering relocating to a country where 2-month injectable HIV treatments are easily accessible and affordable. Currently, I live in India, where I must visit a government clinic monthly to receive a 30-day supply of medication, as per government regulations. I'm curious about the availability and cost of 2-month injectable treatments in other countries. Are they government-sponsored or expensive? Any information about your country's policies on these long-acting injectables would be appreciated.
EDIT: Updated the post for 2-months injectables instead of 6-months injectables.
