Thoughts on only having 5 dockyards for Capital Ships?
Reading the original Dev Diary that explained how many Dockyards you would be able to use for various ship types, I thought this would be great. But I started my first play-through with the Netherlands and in 1940, if I try to build a decent Capital Ship, I wont have it finished until 1945, a single ship! This is without any resource penalties, and with the Pacifist movement stuff completely gone.
I completely understand why we would want a 5 dockyard limit, but it seems like it makes it almost impossible to 1) Build any late-game tech Capital Ships (with ANY nation), and 2) to build any sort of meaningful Capital Ship as a minor nation.
As a minor nation, if I have taken over and have control over massive resources and factories, I feel I should be able to build a decent navy. With this 5 dockyard limit however, I will never have the resources early enough to build anything more than Subs and Destroyers.
I'm wondering if we could change the Dockyards to have a 10 limit on capital ships, and use the normal 15 for everything else? Alternatively, perhaps some focuses or decisions that allow you to use more than 5, or perhaps increase efficiency for a capital ship?
Thoughts?
