Struggling to progress in Act I.

New player here, stuck in Act 1 for over 10 hours and could use some advice. I haven’t even reached the Trapper yet (furthest I got was the snow line before dying), and it’s starting to get a little frustrating. What cards should I prioritize? Which sigils are good or bad? On the map, which tiles are worth going for? Any synergies I should aim for? My biggest issue is that I always seem to draw the worst cards in my deck, and by the time I get anything decent, I’m already losing. Tried smaller decks and bigger decks, but I just keep getting wrecked. Already collected everything in the cabin, including the film. Any tips and tricks?
