Ditching my “wealth” advisor
I have a roughly $300k stock portfolio in a ML advisory account. Our advisor takes 1%.
I'd like to quit that and reallocate my investment into some ETFs, probably through Fidelity since I already have my 401k, RSUs and some smaller stock investments of my own.
I'm not sure how to go about transferring or tax implications. Any advice or good resources I should look at?
I also through my employer can get reimbursed up to $5k a year for fee-only advisory fees. So presumably an advisor at Fidelity could guide me through the process, yeah?
Thanks
