Where’s the Fix for Accidentally Dialing People From Favorites/Recents

So I know many of us have the issue where you are in a call and you go to end it, but the other person hangs up a fraction of a second before you, and you start dialing the person who’s name was right below the hang up button because it disappeared right before you could tap it.

Sometime during the public betas for IOS 18 they had fixed this problem and I was so happy. They made it so you had to click a handset icon all the way to the right of someone’s name in these two lists, rather than just clicking on their name. This made so much more sense and it also solved the issue of calling people by mistake. Which happens to me so often, as I am mostly calling people from my favorites/recents list.

Well during a beta release that came after this one, the lists reverted back to what they were. Just click anywhere on the persons name and it starts calling them. Where the hell did the fix go?? Why did they go back? Is there something I am missing in the settings or something that fixes this? I just can’t believe that they went back to the old list. I thought they had finally fixed it but I guess I was wrong.
