Braces went on today. it’s getting real, y’all.

after 4 months of invisalign to decompensate my tilt, the braces went on today. tentatively scheduled my surgery for december 12 - my surgeon is free but i’m on an OR waitlist. his assistant said she’s “98% sure” I’ll be able to get surgery, but it would be reassuring to know if anyone else has had a similar experience.

eating with the braces has been so horrible!! it’s already hard with my bite but the brackets are so uncomfortable.

i’m just trying to remind myself that it’ll all be over in 7-8 months and i’ll come out with no more jaw pain, no more migraines, and no more stomach issues.
