Enterprise Rent-a-Car: Is it really that terrible, or are all the negative reviews just from lazy people?

Hello:

I'm juggling a few different job offers around right now, with Enterprise being one of them. Here is what I understand about the position so far:

  1. 50+ hours/week, average around 55
  2. 40k starting pay as an MT
  3. You have to work one weekend on, one weekend off
  4. Benefits are solid
  5. You might have to wash cars in a suit
  6. Opportunities to grow within the company are there
  7. Customers can sometimes be rude

I presently work in a high-pressure telemarketing boiler-room. Basically, I work 60 hours/week, every single night, and all weekend for essentially the same amount of pay after commissions while getting verbally abused by prospects.

On the surface, it seems that people complaining about this are lazy and entitled. Glassdoor tends to be like Yelp, where people focus on the negatives. Before I accept the position, I'd like to hear from people who have worked here about the real working conditions. Any success stories?
