What's the general consensus on Jeanie?

I'm still learning the team, reading here and listening to Lakers Film room mostly. One thing I haven't heard a lot about is the general opinion on Buss and where she has taken/is taking the franchise. I know there was a rocky patch with her after her father died and her brother(s) were involved, but I don't remember the details. I also know there was some questions about her with Phil Jackson back then, and that perhaps she was making poor decisions based on their personal relationship? But that's all a fair ways in the past now.

Coming from the Mavs, the ownership was always a huge plus to the organization up until this year. Love him or hate him, Cuban went out of his way for the players and the fans. He didn't always make the best decisions, but he was passionate and loyal, and used it to keep his product at the top of the NBA pile. But now with Adelson/Dumont clearly there is a massive disconnect with what is really important to keep a franchise at the top. Trying to save a few bucks off a max contract is going to cost them so much more long term - it's hard to fathom the lunacy.

I assume Buss is much more like Cuban than Adelson, seeing as how it has probably meant a lot to her over the years because of her family? What has her role been like in recent years, and what is the general opinion about her?
