About Flipside

So I just recently found out about Flipside and have been listening to it. It’s such a melancholic track! I wonder why the conditions of its availability are the way they are. Does anyone know why this song was made so hard to get a hold of? I see no reason of it being only obtainable via target and iTunes Japan.
