Makhzoumi/Rifi would've been worse.

Rifi is too divisive of a figure, and we would like to avoid a civil war. Apart from that, I don't see any 'great' qualifications for the job.

Mahkhzoumi is a literal tool. He used to support the "resistance" back in 2013, then changed his mind somehow. He probably was going to enable the manzoume to pass its own plans to strip the country of its assets and enable the political capture of our lives. So no actual financial/government reform.

He probably would've been stricter with Hezbollah, but that's not a price I want to pay vs doing no reforms to our catastrophic collapse. I don't want to see a sectarian party replacing another with no proper improvement in my life.
