New player here and probably a contraversial oppinion but there isn't enough time in a ranked duel (though probably not for the reason you think).

To begin with, over the last couple of days I made a few posts on this reddit and up untill now all the comments have been very helpfull so thanks to all of you for being both very quick and helpfull in your responses.

So now for my complaint and question. I am having trouble finishing the game in time, I am now playing a drytron deck and that takes a lot of special summoning, selecting cards, responding to interactions, and don't get me started on handtraps. To execute my single first turn takes more 3/4th of the time I have, add even a small moment of decision making into the mix (if you get interrupted) and my time is gone before my first turn ends. I can't make decisions or read my opponents cards because there simply isn't the time, and it could all be so much smoother if just a few changes got implemented.

  1. make all actions take place in the middle of the screen, want to summon a monster, have the position optiontake place in the middle of the screen not on the bottom, want to use an effect, again, use the middle of the screen, not the bottom, want to select a card, middle of the screen, basically, have any and all pop-up options be in the middle of the screen so I won't have to move my mouse all the time.

  2. Always give 1/2 seconds per question posed, want to activate a handtrap, you get 2 seconds think time (on top your normal time), want to activate a trap, you get 2 seconds, and so on, this makes it so I won't get a time loss for having a Maxx C in my hand on turn 3.

  3. have the card selecting menu be a large roster, not a slider (so all cards fit inside the selection screen and I don't have to scroll). this saves a bit of time.

Please tell tell me how to manage with handtraps and all, because right now I almost don't want to see a handtrap because I will know that under time pressure I will lose the game because of them.
