What is the name of the localization technique in Desert Rose by Sting?

I'm looking for more music with that kind of vocals. The technique sounds somwhat similar to yodeling but it's found in some Middle Eastern music. Another good example is Dawn of a New Time from the Battlefield 1 soundtrack/ Zajdi Zajdi.
