Somehow managing to coerce/intimidate a technological nation into joining his side and supplying him with their military tech.

Just imagine how scary it would be for the ponies once they start seeing tanks, airships, planes, battleships and even mechs mixed in with his mind controlled army who'd probably also be armed with firearms as well.
