Are the mane 6 overrated??

For context, I’m a tattoo artist and I’m known for doing my little pony tattoos I want to do a pony repeatable flash day later this year so I asked my (pony-centric) followers, which characters would you like to see in a story, I received 57 responses (so far) With 41 individual pony characters suggested, With only 1 vote for pinkie pie and one for rainbow dash, and they only appeared after a story where I mentioned how the mane 6 weren’t mentioned! The three most popular were princess luna, discord and trixie if you’re curious. I was kind of shocked, although the ‘villain turned good’ characters aren’t surprising, they’re interesting characters, but moondancer got more votes than pinkie pie, and twilight didn’t get a single vote!
