Updated comparison of Lakers coaches Darvin Ham and JJ Reddick: Ham - 24-24, Reddick - 29-19
Up to this point in the season, Darvin Ham had his 2023-24 Lakers at an even .500 at 24-24. JJ Reddick currently has the 2024-25 Lakers at a 29-19 record and currently in 5th place in the West.
It's worth noting that if the Lakers were .500 at this current moment, they would be 11th place in the West and thus not a play-in team. While the Lakers did win the In-Season Tournament last year, it does seem that the Lakers are better with JJ Reddick opposed to Darvin Ham. This has been with a year older LeBron and Anthony Davis, but also an injury ridden roster with Jarred Vanderbilt and others missing games.
Overall, the Lakers do seem to be bought in more in JJ Reddick's system opposed to Darvin Ham's. They just won against the Knicks and Clippers without Anthony Davis, and they have a generational talent about to join the team likely this weekend.
