Screen issues

So I've been trying to resurrect this DS Lite for some time. I managed to replace the blown power led but after replacing the top screen the new screen looks like this. The cables appear clean and untorn. I got the bottom screen to show properly but no touch input works now. Is there something else I could be missing or is this a matter of replacing both screens at this point? The top screen is a screen I got on aliexpress
