Ninja Gaiden 2 Black difficulty

Just picked up the Remake for PS5 and curious how fair the highest difficulty is? I’m looking for similar difficulty as Nioh where it’s brutal, but still very fair. Does the highest difficulty make everything a sponge or do they still take good damage?
