Should I buy it, or should I wait?

Here are some facts to consider:

• The Switch 2, much like the Switch will very likely have at least one, maybe two hardware revisions.
• The Switch 2 is confirmed to be backwards compatible with the majority of Switch titles. We do not know exactly what this means, or which titles will not be compatible.
• The Switch 2 is likely to be very difficult to find for purchase in the first six months of its release, maybe even longer. A preorder will likely be the best way to secure a purchase in 2025.
• At launch there will be very few exclusive Switch 2 games and this will remain the case for a few months.
